The grand 77th Republic Day celebrations unfolded spectacularly in New Delhi, where a series of captivating tableaus rolled down Kartavya Path, showcasing India’s remarkable development journey, rich cultural diversity, and formidable military capabilities. Among the highlights was the Tri-Services tableau titled “Operation Sindoor: Victory Through Jointness,” which emphasized seamless coordination, unity, and strength across the Army, Navy, and Air Force. It prominently displayed missiles, advanced warplanes, newly inducted units, and lethal weapon systems deployed during Operation Sindoor.

Cultural pride took center stage with the Culture Ministry’s tableau honoring 150 years of the national song “Vande Mataram.” The display paid tribute to Bankim Chandra Chatterjee’s iconic composition that became a rallying cry during India’s freedom struggle. States and Union Territories brought their unique identities to life: Jammu and Kashmir celebrated traditional arts and crafts, while Nagaland’s tableau captured the vibrant colors and spirit of the Hornbill Festival, paying homage to the majestic Great Indian Hornbill.

Puducherry showcased its rich cultural heritage, traditional craftsmanship, and the visionary township of Auroville with global appeal. Rajasthan’s entry highlighted Bikaner’s renowned Usta art—exquisite gold inlay work on camel hide—while Manipur depicted its inspiring transformation from traditional agricultural landscapes to thriving international markets. The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting presented India’s timeless storytelling traditions, bridging ancient epics to contemporary narratives.
