The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has declared the APO Prelims Result 2025, announcing that 2,856 candidates have successfully qualified for the main examination stage. The result has been published on the official UPPSC website, and candidates who appeared for the preliminary exam can now check their qualifying status online using their credentials.
The recruitment process was conducted for a total of 182 Assistant Prosecution Officer posts under advertisement No. A-5/E-1/2025. The preliminary examination was held on March 22, 2026, across eight districts in Uttar Pradesh, including major centres such as Prayagraj, Lucknow, Kanpur Nagar, Varanasi, Meerut, and Gorakhpur. The exam was conducted in a single shift from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM under strict security arrangements.
According to official data, 93,419 candidates had applied for the recruitment process, while 50,795 candidates actually appeared for the prelims examination. Based on performance, 2,856 candidates have been provisionally shortlisted for the next stage, which is the mains examination. The commission has clarified that this selection is only provisional and subject to further stages of evaluation.

UPPSC has also stated that details regarding the mains examination schedule, application process, and further instructions will be released separately through an official notification. Candidates are advised to regularly check the commission’s website for updates and ensure they complete all required formalities within the given timeline.
The commission further informed that marks and category-wise cut-off details will only be made available after the final selection results are declared. It also clarified that no RTI requests regarding marks or cut-offs will be entertained until the final result is published. With this announcement, successful candidates now move one step closer to securing the Assistant Prosecution Officer position.
