The United Arab Emirates faced heightened security alerts over the weekend as residents in Dubai and Abu Dhabi received warnings from the Ministry of Interior about a “potential missile threat". Authorities advised people to remain vigilant, while the Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi cautioned Indian nationals in the UAE not to take photographs or share images of incident locations on social media. The alerts come amid escalating Iranian strikes across the region that have targeted key infrastructure and prompted temporary closures.

Dubai International Airport, one of the busiest airports globally for international traffic, was briefly shut down on Saturday after authorities intercepted an unidentified object nearby. During a hospital visit to meet people wounded by Iranian projectiles, he said, “The UAE has thick skin and bitter flesh; we are no easy prey. The UAE is attractive; the UAE is beautiful; the UAE is a model. But I say to them: ‘Do not be misled by the UAE’s appearance.’” His remarks underline the government’s commitment to defending its territory and citizens.

The UAE has continued to strengthen security measures across critical infrastructure, including airports, consulates, and luxury developments, following the surge in Iranian strikes. Airspace monitoring, emergency drills, and rapid response units have been deployed to mitigate potential risks.
