US President Donald Trump on Saturday said that Iran would be “hit very hard tonight", accusing the country of attempting to dominate nations across the Middle East. The remarks were made in a post shared on Truth Social, where Trump also claimed that Iran had effectively surrendered to its regional neighbours following ongoing pressure and military action.
In his message, Trump said Iran had apologised to neighbouring countries and promised not to launch further attacks against them. He attributed this development to what he described as relentless pressure and coordinated military actions carried out by the United States and Israel. Trump asserted that Iran had previously sought to expand its influence and control across the region but was now facing setbacks.
“Iran, which is being beaten to hell, has apologised and surrendered to its Middle East neighbours and promised that it will not shoot at them anymore,” Trump wrote in the social media post. He further claimed that the promise was made because of sustained military pressure and said the situation marked an unprecedented shift in the regional balance of power.

Trump also described Iran as no longer being the “bully of the Middle East” and called the country the “loser of the Middle East". His comments suggested that additional actions could be taken, including the possibility of expanding the scope of military targets or operations. However, specific details regarding the nature or timing of the threatened strikes were not immediately disclosed.
The remarks come amid ongoing tensions in the Middle East involving several regional powers and international actors. Relations between the United States, Israel, and Iran have remained strained for years due to disputes over security concerns, regional influence, and military activities in the region.
While Trump’s statement signals a potentially aggressive stance toward Iran, officials have not yet provided further clarification on the scale or objectives of the possible action he mentioned. Observers say any escalation involving the United States and Iran could have wider implications for regional stability and international diplomacy in the coming days.
