A British Royal Navy F-35B stealth fighter jet, grounded in Kerala for five weeks due to a hydraulic fault, took off from Thiruvananthapuram airport on Tuesday morning. The advanced aircraft, stranded since an emergency landing on June 14, was repaired by a specialized UK team, receiving clearance to fly on Monday.
The F-35B was en route from the UK to Australia when low fuel and adverse weather forced the pilot to divert to Thiruvananthapuram. The Indian Air Force played a crucial role, swiftly facilitating the jet’s safe landing.
Visuals captured the sleek fighter jet soaring back into the skies, marking the end of its unexpected stay in Kerala.
