Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Friday assured guest faculty members that the state government would take all possible steps for their welfare and improve their service conditions. Addressing a state-level Guest Faculty Convention in Bhopal, the Chief Minister invited suggestions from faculty members and said their concerns would be examined through an official mechanism.
Yadav said the government has constituted a committee under the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) to study issues faced by guest faculty members and recommend measures. He said the time for delaying decisions on their concerns was over and asked representatives to prepare proposals based on successful models adopted by other states.
The Chief Minister described guest faculty members as an important pillar of the education system and said their contribution extended beyond filling vacant positions. He compared them to “priests in a temple” and said they play a key role in shaping the future of students and the country through education.
