London police have arrested four men on suspicion of aiding Iran by spying on the Jewish community, the Metropolitan Police said in a statement on Friday. Authorities allege the suspects were assisting a foreign intelligence service by gathering information on individuals and locations.
The four men—one Iranian national and three dual British-Iranian nationals—were taken into custody in north London in the early hours of the morning. Their ages range from 22 to 55. Police confirmed that searches are ongoing at the arrested men’s residences and at other nearby properties.
In addition to the four, six other men were arrested in Harrow, west London, on suspicion of assisting an offender. All six have also been taken into custody as investigations continue. Details regarding the nature of their involvement have not yet been disclosed.

Commander Helen Flanagan, who oversees counterterrorism policing in London, acknowledged public concern, particularly within the Jewish community. “We understand the public may be concerned… I would ask them to remain vigilant and if they see or hear anything that concerns them, then to contact us,” she said.
The arrests come amid ongoing U.S. and Israeli strikes against Iran, which has carried out retaliatory attacks on Israeli targets, U.S. military bases, and other regional sites. While Britain is not involved in offensive operations, it has provided support for regional defense and security.
Metropolitan Police emphasized that the investigation is ongoing and urged the public to report any suspicious activity. Officials did not disclose when charges might be filed, but said counterterrorism teams are prioritizing the security of potential targets while gathering evidence.
