Mongolian President Khurelsukh Ukhnaa concluded a significant four-day state visit to India on Thursday, October 16, 2025, aimed at bolstering bilateral relations between the two nations. Arriving in New Delhi on October 13, he was warmly received by Minister of State for Civil Aviation and Cooperation Murlidhar Mohol at the airport, where he was accorded a Guard of Honour and a ceremonial welcome, as announced by the Ministry of External Affairs on October 11.
The visit featured a series of high-level engagements to strengthen diplomatic and economic ties. On Monday, President Ukhnaa paid his respects by laying a wreath at Mahatma Gandhi’s memorial at Rajghat. On Tuesday, he held comprehensive discussions with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Hyderabad House, where the two leaders planted a sapling, symbolizing the growing partnership. Ukhnaa also met Vice President and Rajya Sabha Chair C P Radhakrishnan to explore avenues for enhanced cooperation across various sectors.
A key highlight was President Ukhnaa’s meeting with President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan, where he and his delegation received a warm reception. President Murmu hosted a state banquet in his honor, underscoring the deepening bonds between India and Mongolia. The visit, marked by both symbolic gestures and substantive dialogue, reflects the shared commitment to advancing mutual interests.
