The escalating conflict involving the United States, Israel and Iran has triggered a series of dramatic incidents across the Gulf region, drawing global attention and raising fears of a broader regional war. The confrontation intensified after joint US-Israeli strikes on Iran on February 28 reportedly targeted nuclear facilities, missile infrastructure and senior leadership in Tehran. The fallout from those strikes has since unfolded through retaliatory drone and missile attacks, as well as military accidents, prompting the United States to bolster homeland security amid concerns of further reprisals.
One of the most striking incidents occurred in Riyadh, where the US Embassy was hit by two drones, resulting in a fire within the Diplomatic Quarter. According to reports, a loud explosion was heard in the area, followed by visible flames and thick black smoke rising above the compound that houses several foreign missions. No injuries were reported in the attack, but the incident underscored the vulnerability of diplomatic installations in the region as tensions continue to escalate.
In Bahrain’s capital, Manama, another dramatic episode unfolded when drones reportedly struck the upper floors of the Era Views Tower, a residential high-rise located roughly a mile from a US Navy base. Visuals circulating online showed impact damage to the building, with debris scattered across nearby areas. While details regarding casualties or structural damage remain limited, the proximity of the strike to a key American military installation has heightened security concerns in the island nation.

Dubai also witnessed a high-profile strike when a drone hit a building in the Palm Jumeirah area, one of the emirate’s most iconic man-made archipelagos known for luxury residences and hotels. Local authorities confirmed that emergency response teams were deployed immediately and that the resulting fire was brought under control. In Qatar’s capital, Doha, footage showed a missile impacting the ground and exploding, sending civilians running for cover amid flames and smoke.
In Kuwait, video clips showed an American fighter jet spiralling downward before crashing, adding to the list of alarming developments. Kuwaiti defence officials confirmed that several US warplanes crashed but stated that all crew members survived and were transported to hospital for evaluation, with their condition reported as stable. As the situation evolves, the series of attacks and military incidents highlights the widening geographic footprint of the conflict and the mounting risks facing both military personnel and civilians across the Gulf.
