A.R. Rahman had his audience in splits during a recent concert in the U.S. when he jokingly referenced the now-viral Coldplay 'kiss cam' incident that took over social media last week.
While performing at the Tacoma Dome as part of his ongoing Wonderment Tour, Rahman addressed the crowd just as the cameras panned over the audience:
“I won’t get you into trouble. Don’t worry,” he said with a grin — prompting instant laughter and applause from the crowd.
The moment was a playful nod to Coldplay’s recent 'kiss cam' controversy, where a CEO and an HR head awkwardly ducked the camera at a show, triggering widespread speculation and internet memes. Coldplay’s Chris Martin had quipped at the time, “Either they're having an affair or they're just very shy.”
