A minor allegedly stabbed a woman multiple times in Mumbai’s Dahisar area following a dispute linked to an alleged illegal marijuana cultivation operation, police said. The incident took place around 9 pm on Thursday in Lane No. 4 of Ganpat Patil Nagar, within the jurisdiction of the Borivali MHB Police Station. The woman, identified as Suman Thakur, suffered serious injuries in the attack and was taken for medical treatment.
According to the information available, the teenager was allegedly connected to the exposure of a marijuana cultivation unit operating from a house in the area. The boy claimed that he and his family had earlier complained about people allegedly growing marijuana near a creek close to their home, but alleged that no action was taken. Following the exposure of the operation, Thakur allegedly began threatening the boy and his family members, according to his account.
The situation escalated on Thursday night when the minor allegedly attacked Thakur with a knife. He reportedly stabbed her repeatedly, leaving her with potentially life-threatening injuries. A video showing the aftermath of the incident showed the woman injured and covered in blood. Police reached the location after receiving information about the attack and began investigating the circumstances surrounding the stabbing.

What has drawn particular attention is that the accused allegedly did not flee after the incident. Instead, he recorded a video in which he appeared to confess to stabbing the woman. In the video, the boy claimed that Thakur had repeatedly threatened him and his family after they became involved in exposing the alleged marijuana cultivation operation. “So I stabbed her. I don't know if she is dead or alive, but I did stab her,” he said in the recording.
The confession video has become an important part of the police investigation, although the allegations made in it will have to be independently verified. Police are examining the circumstances leading up to the attack, including the alleged threats and the boy’s claims regarding the marijuana operation. Investigators are also looking into whether others were involved in the suspected illegal activity and whether there was any prior dispute between the accused and the victim.
The Borivali MHB police are investigating the case from multiple angles, including the alleged marijuana cultivation and the circumstances of the stabbing. The victim’s medical condition and the precise nature of her injuries will form part of the investigation as police establish the sequence of events. The allegations made by the minor in his recorded confession are also being examined as investigators determine the facts and possible legal action in the case.
