The APEC CEO Summit 2025, set to take place from October 28 to 31 in Gyeongju, North Gyeongsang Province, South Korea, will bring together an impressive lineup of global business leaders and heads of state, as reported by Pulse, the English service of Maeil Business Newspaper Korea. Hosted by the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), this high-profile forum precedes the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Leaders’ Summit, scheduled for October 31 to November 1, 2025.
The summit will see participation from 16 heads of state or government from APEC’s 21 member economies, alongside approximately 1,700 chief executive officers (CEOs) from leading global corporations. Among the prominent attendees is Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia Corp., the world’s most valuable company by market capitalization, renowned for spearheading the AI revolution with its advanced semiconductors. Industry analysts are keenly observing whether Nvidia will announce deeper collaborations with Korean chipmakers like Samsung Electronics Co. and SK hynix Inc.
Matt Garman, CEO of Amazon Web Services (AWS), the world’s largest cloud service provider, will also attend. AWS’s ongoing partnership with SK Group to establish an AI data center in Ulsan, South Korea, underscores the summit’s focus on cutting-edge technology. In the finance sector, Jane Fraser, CEO of Citigroup and a trailblazing female leader in U.S. finance, will join, alongside Joaquin Duato, CEO of Johnson & Johnson, representing the healthcare industry.

From China, Li Fanrong, chairman of Sinochem Holdings Corp., the nation’s largest chemical company, and Zeng Yuqun, chairman of Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. (CATL), the global leader in battery manufacturing, will contribute their expertise. The summit will also feature leaders from major international organizations, including Kristalina Georgieva, managing director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and Mathias Cormann, secretary-general of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
