Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), arrived in India from the United States on Saturday ahead of the organization's planned protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi. In his first public appearance after landing, Dipke was seen holding a biography of B. R. Ambedkar at the airport. The protest, scheduled for 10 a.m., is aimed at demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged examination-related lapses.
The CJP has accused authorities of failing to address concerns surrounding the alleged NEET-UG 2026 paper leak and irregularities in the CBSE’s on-screen marking system used for Class 12 evaluations and re-evaluations. The organization claims it has received permission from Delhi Police to hold the demonstration. The movement, which began as an online campaign, has rapidly gained visibility among students and young people across the country.
Support for the protest has also come from activist Sonam Wangchuk, who earlier announced his intention to join the gathering if no corrective action was taken. Wangchuk said his concerns extend beyond individual examination controversies and relate to broader issues in India’s education system. He argued that persistent shortcomings in educational governance have affected millions of students and warranted accountability at the highest level.

The Cockroach Janta Party initially emerged as a satirical response to remarks made by Chief Justice of India Surya Kant during a court hearing last month. What started as an online movement has since evolved into an organized youth-led campaign. The group has attracted significant attention on social media, promoting itself as a platform representing the interests and concerns of young Indians.
Ahead of the protest, the organization announced a team of spokespersons to expand its public outreach. Investigative journalist Saurav Das was named chief spokesperson, while political researcher and filmmaker Vijeta Dahiya and former management consultant Ashutosh Ranka were introduced as public representatives. The demonstration is expected to draw attention to ongoing debates around examination reforms and educational accountability in India.
