In a chilling case that has rocked Uttar Pradesh’s Aligarh district, police arrested Tabassum (29) for allegedly stabbing her husband, Yousuf (29), to death with the help of her lover, Danish (27), before setting his body on fire to conceal the crime. The charred remains were discovered near a brick kiln in Kasganj district, prompting a swift police investigation, authorities confirmed Monday.
Yousuf’s family filed a missing person report at Chharra police station on August 2, noting he had disappeared that morning. Following a tip-off on Sunday night, police located the burned remains near a brick factory in Kasganj. Yousuf’s family identified the body, despite attempts by the accused to obscure his identity by pouring acid on it and setting it ablaze.
Investigations uncovered that Tabassum was involved in an extramarital affair with Danish, which police believe motivated the murder. The duo allegedly stabbed Yousuf in the stomach in a premeditated attack, then burned his body to destroy evidence. Circle Officer (Chharra) Dhanajay revealed that the police are actively searching for Danish, who remains at large, along with other family members suspected of complicity in the crime.
