In a chilling incident that has rocked Patna’s Ramkrishna Nagar locality, grocery shop owner Vikram Jha was shot dead on Friday evening by an unknown assailant. Despite swift police action and immediate hospital intervention, Jha was declared dead on arrival.
Police say the motive behind the brutal killing remains unclear, and investigations are currently underway. The body has been sent for post-mortem, while officers scour the area to apprehend the culprit.
This murder adds to a wave of violence in Patna, following the recent killings of a sand mining businessman and a prominent industrialist earlier this month — raising concerns about escalating lawlessness in the city.
