A large-scale night operation by Cyberabad Police has uncovered a growing misuse of farmhouses around Hyderabad’s outskirts, where secluded properties are being turned into illegal hubs for rave parties, gambling, and drug use. Conducted across the Rajendranagar Zone under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Yogesh Goutam, the operation exposed how organisers exploit the isolation of farmhouses to evade police monitoring and host unauthorised events involving liquor, banned substances, and obscenity.
During the raids, police teams inspected 39 farmhouses in areas such as Mudimyal in Chevella and Tolkatta in Moinabad. Four cases were registered following the discovery of widespread violations, including illegal liquor consumption, unauthorised gatherings, and use of prohibited substances. At one location, the “12 Farm” in Tolkatta, authorities disrupted a ticketed party attended by 29 people featuring loud music, fireworks, and heavy alcohol use without official permission. Other farmhouses, such as Pranava Villa Hills and Rithika Farm House, were also found hosting illegal activities, including a school event involving alcohol consumption by adult organisers.
Seized materials included hookah equipment and other accessories linked to drug use, with one vehicle intercepted carrying similar banned paraphernalia. Police said these raids form part of a broader two-pronged enforcement drive — targeting illegal gatherings while also setting up checkpoints to monitor drunk driving and possession of narcotics. A total of 165 vehicles were checked during the operation, resulting in three cases of drunk driving. The crackdown aims to disrupt the growing trend of private venues doubling as covert party spaces beyond the city’s jurisdictional reach.

DCP Yogesh Goutam issued a stern warning to farmhouse owners and event organisers, stressing that any gathering involving liquor or large crowds requires prior permission from both the police and excise departments. “Any farmhouse management that violates such regulations will face stringent action as per law,” he said, signalling a zero-tolerance approach toward those facilitating the misuse of suburban properties for illegal entertainment and narcotics-related activities.
