A chilling murder unfolded in Hyderabad’s LB Nagar area on when Boddu Mahesh, recently released on bail in a criminal case, was brutally hacked to death by unidentified assailants.
The savage attack, captured on CCTV, has left the city reeling as police probe what appears to be a revenge killing rooted in past enmity.
According to LB Nagar police, the assailants launched their assault by deliberately ramming Mahesh with a car near a busy intersection. Footage reveals that Mahesh, dazed but alive, attempted to flee the scene. Undeterred, the attackers pursued him on foot, cornering him before unleashing a flurry of blows with machetes and knives. The ferocity of the assault left Mahesh lifeless on the pavement, his body bearing multiple grievous wounds.
Police suspect the killing stems from old grudges, noting that Mahesh was an accused in a prior case involving a knife attack on two individuals. Having secured bail just days ago, his release may have triggered the deadly retaliation. “The precision and brutality suggest a planned hit,” a senior officer said, adding that CCTV evidence is being analyzed to identify the car and the fleeing suspects.
The public execution has sparked outrage, with residents demanding swift justice. No arrests have been made as of Sunday evening, but police have intensified their manhunt, vowing to crack the case soon.
