Panic spread through a high-rise residential complex in Noida on Monday after a fire broke out on the 21st floor of a tower in Aranya Society, located in Sector 119. Fire department officials said multiple fire tenders were immediately dispatched to the scene after receiving information about the blaze. Firefighters launched a rescue and firefighting operation to contain the flames, while residents were moved to safety as a precaution. Initial reports indicated that no one was trapped inside the building.
According to preliminary information, the fire is suspected to have been triggered by an explosion in an air-conditioning unit, although the exact cause has not yet been officially confirmed. Fire department personnel continued efforts to bring the blaze under control while ensuring that the fire did not spread to neighbouring apartments or other parts of the residential tower. Authorities said a detailed investigation would be conducted after the fire was fully extinguished.
Officials stated that around six fire tenders were pressed into service as part of the emergency response. Rescue teams searched the affected floor and adjoining areas to ensure the safe evacuation of residents. At the time of reporting, there were no confirmed reports of casualties or injuries. Emergency personnel remained at the site to monitor the situation and assist residents until the operation was completed.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took cognisance of the incident and directed officials to respond without delay. He instructed the district administration, fire services and other emergency agencies to reach the spot immediately, expedite rescue and relief operations, and ensure that anyone injured received prompt medical treatment. The Chief Minister also directed officials to maintain constant vigilance and closely monitor the ongoing emergency response.
The incident is the latest in a series of residential fire emergencies reported in Noida this month. Earlier, separate fires broke out in residential towers in Sectors 74 and 52. In one of those incidents at Ivy County Society in Sector 74, flames erupted from a flat on the 12th floor of a 28-storey building, prompting authorities to evacuate the entire tower and relocate residents from nearby apartments as a safety measure.
Fire safety in high-rise residential buildings has increasingly come under scrutiny following repeated incidents involving electrical equipment and air-conditioning units. Authorities have urged residents to ensure regular maintenance of electrical appliances and to follow fire safety guidelines issued by housing societies. Officials said the cause of the latest fire will be confirmed after a technical examination, while the firefighting and rescue operation continues.
