A 22-year-old man was discovered dead under chilling circumstances near a hotel on the Etah-Kasganj road in the early hours of Thursday, leaving police and locals baffled.

The victim, identified as Anshul from Amapur town in Kasganj district, was found critically injured by passersby around 3 am. Police rushed him to Etah Medical College, but doctors pronounced him dead on arrival, according to officials.

Kotwali Dehat Station House Officer (SHO) RK Singh revealed that Anshul had left home on Tuesday evening, telling his family he was heading to Etah market. “It’s unclear why he was on the Etah-Kasganj road instead of his usual route,” Singh noted, adding to the mystery.

While a preliminary investigation suggests Anshul may have been struck by an unknown vehicle, his family has raised doubts about the circumstances of his death, demanding answers. The body has been sent for a postmortem to uncover the truth.
