Mumbai Police’s Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) cracked down on two drug rackets, arresting two peddlers and seizing drugs and cash worth Rs 2.36 crore.
In the first operation on July 7, the Azad Maidan unit apprehended a 46-year-old man in Lokhandwala Complex, Andheri West, with 140 grams of mephedrone and 703 grams of charas, valued at Rs 1.14 crore, along with Rs 18 lakh in cash.
The following day, July 8, the Kandivali unit arrested a 31-year-old peddler in Versova, recovering 306 grams of heroin worth Rs 1.04 crore, as confirmed by DCP Navnath Dhawale.

Both suspects were charged under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, with ongoing investigations to uncover potential interstate drug networks.
