The Jharkhand Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has arrested two more people in connection with separate cases involving alleged irregularities in recruitment examinations in the State, an official said on Tuesday. The latest arrests are part of continuing investigations into suspected malpractice in competitive examinations conducted for government appointments, with investigators examining the alleged involvement of individuals in activities that could have affected the integrity of the recruitment process.
One of those arrested has been identified as 41-year-old Dilip Kumar Paswan, a resident of Jamui district in Bihar. According to the official, Paswan was arrested in connection with alleged irregularities in the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level (JSSC CGL) examination conducted in 2023. The case relates to allegations surrounding the examination process and the suspected activities of people linked to the irregularities.
The CID has been pursuing investigations into allegations of examination-related malpractice, including the possible role of intermediaries and other individuals involved in recruitment examination cases. The latest arrests indicate that the probe is continuing to identify people suspected of having links to the alleged irregularities and to establish how the activities may have been carried out.

Recruitment examinations conducted by the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission are used to select candidates for various government positions. The arrest of Paswan, who is from Bihar, also indicates that the investigation may involve individuals from outside Jharkhand.
