iQOO has launched its latest flagship smartphone, the iQOO 16, in China with a 2K Samsung M16 AMOLED display, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset and an 8,400mAh battery. The new smartphone also supports 100W wired fast charging and 40W wireless charging. The device brings several hardware upgrades over its predecessor, the iQOO 15. However, iQOO has not yet announced plans to launch the iQOO 16 in India.
The iQOO 16 features a 6.85-inch 2K LTPO AMOLED display manufactured using Samsung’s M16 panel technology. The screen supports a variable refresh rate of up to 165Hz, while brightness can reach 2,800 nits in HBM mode and a claimed peak level of 10,000 nits. The phone is powered by the 2nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor, paired with an Adreno 850 GPU and iQOO’s dedicated Q4 gaming chip. It is offered with LPDDR5X Ultra or LPDDR5X Ultra Pro RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, with configurations reaching up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage.
For performance and gaming, iQOO has equipped the phone with an 8,500mm 3D vapour chamber and a three-layer graphite cooling system covering a combined area of 29,453mm. The company claims the smartphone can achieve around 5.57 million points on AnTuTu. The device also includes a direct-drive power supply feature designed to bypass the battery during intensive gaming sessions. This is intended to allow the phone to draw power directly from the charger during supported gaming scenarios instead of continuously charging and discharging the battery.

The smartphone is powered by an 8,400mAh battery and supports 100W wired fast charging along with 40W wireless charging.
