Three men were arrested in Hyderabad after allegedly performing dangerous stunts, riding at high speed and driving scooters without number plates on public roads, with videos of their activities later going viral on Instagram. Police said the accused were seen performing the stunts on a flyover on October 6, prompting a complaint and subsequent investigation into their activities.
According to police, the trio was riding three Honda Dio scooters at high speed when they were spotted performing what authorities described as life-threatening stunts. The riders allegedly carried out wheelies and other dangerous manoeuvres on the public road, creating a potential risk to themselves and other road users. The absence of number plates on the scooters was also cited as one of the violations.
The three men had recorded and uploaded multiple videos of their stunts on Instagram, according to the police. The videos subsequently went viral on social media, drawing attention to the riders and the manner in which the scooters were being operated on public roads. The online circulation of the footage helped bring the incident to the attention of the authorities.

Following a complaint, police registered a case and launched a search for the riders involved in the incident. The accused were identified as Mohammed Mohinuddin alias Mohin, 24, Mohammed Rizwan, 21, and Tohid, 19. Police subsequently traced the three men and arrested them in connection with the alleged violations.
The arrests came after authorities examined the reported stunt activity and the videos posted online. Police said dangerous riding on public roads, particularly activities involving high speeds and stunts, can put other motorists and pedestrians at risk. The case also highlights the legal consequences that can follow when such activities are recorded and shared on social media.
Police warned that wrong-side driving, removing or riding without number plates, speeding and performing stunts on public roads and flyovers would invite strict legal action. The warning followed the arrests of the three men and was aimed at discouraging dangerous riding practices that could endanger other road users. The investigation and legal proceedings against the accused will continue according to the registered case.
