In a chilling incident, 25-year-old state-level tennis player Radhika Yadav was allegedly shot dead by her father, Deepak Yadav, at their home in Gurugram’s Sushant Lok-Phase 2, Sector 57, on Thursday around noon. Police reports indicate that Deepak fired five bullets, three striking Radhika, who succumbed to her injuries at a private hospital.

The motive, reportedly linked to a dispute over Radhika’s social media reel-making, is under investigation. The accused, arrested with his licensed revolver seized, is being questioned.

Radhika, a rising star with an ITF doubles ranking of 113, was celebrated in Haryana’s tennis circuit. The community mourns her loss as police probe further.
