A Delhi woman was allegedly raped by Shubham, the owner of a hotel near Dharamshala in Kangra district, Himachal Pradesh, police reported on Tuesday. The horrific incident occurred on Sunday while the victim was staying at the hotel with three friends and her employer, a friend of the accused.

According to the victim’s complaint, Shubham entered her room and assaulted her while her companions were out sightseeing. He further threatened her with severe consequences to silence her. Following her courageous report, police arrested Shubham under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The woman underwent a medical examination, and authorities are continuing their investigation to ensure justice.

The case highlights ongoing concerns about tourist safety in popular destinations like Dharamshala.
