Panic gripped four private schools in Delhi on Wednesday morning after they received bomb threat emails, marking the third consecutive day of such incidents in the capital. Authorities swiftly evacuated St Thomas School in Dwarka, Vasant Valley School in Vasant Kunj, Mother International in Hauz Khas, and Richmond Global School in Paschim Vihar for thorough inspections.
The Delhi Fire Services received alerts starting at 5:26 AM for St Thomas School, which faced its second threat in 24 hours. Other calls followed for Vasant Valley at 6:30 AM, Mother International at 8:12 AM, and Richmond Global at 8:11 AM. In total, nine bomb threat emails have targeted eight Delhi schools over three days.
Delhi Police, bomb disposal squads, dog units, and cyber experts were deployed to search the premises. Staff residing on-site were promptly moved to safety. So far, no suspicious items have been found, and officials suspect these threats, like those on the previous two days, are hoaxes.
