Delhi Police have arrested four people for allegedly obstructing and misbehaving with a Booth Level Officer (BLO) during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in central Delhi earlier this month. The incident reportedly took place on July 5 in the Fatak Telian area of Chandni Mahal, where the BLO was carrying out official duties related to voter list verification.
According to police, the complainant, a Post Graduate Teacher (Special Education) deployed as a BLO, alleged that a man interfered with the revision process by placing the BLO register on her lap and signing it despite her objections. She further claimed that several people present at the location abused her, refused to accept SIR forms, and created an environment that prevented her from performing her official responsibilities.
Police said the complaint was received on July 15, several days after the alleged incident. The BLO reportedly approached the Additional District Magistrate (ADM), Old Delhi, who then informed police authorities about the matter. The complainant told officials that the delay occurred because she was consulting senior officers regarding the appropriate steps to be taken.

Police said all four accused are residents of the Turkman Gate area of Delhi. They were taken into custody following the registration of the case and preliminary investigation.
Authorities said further investigation is underway to examine the complete sequence of events and gather additional evidence related to the allegations. Police officials have not ruled out further action based on the findings of the ongoing probe.
