In a disturbing incident in Bengaluru, a college student has accused her paying guest (PG) accommodation owner, Ashraf, of raping her. The accused was arrested following the student's complaint at a local police station, leading to the registration of an FIR.
The student, who had moved into Ashraf’s property just 10 days prior, alleged in her complaint that on the night of August 2, 2025, at around 12:41 AM, Ashraf approached her in her room. He reportedly demanded her "cooperation" in exchange for food and accommodation. When she refused, Ashraf allegedly dragged her, forced her into a car, and drove her to another location where he sexually assaulted her.
According to the complaint, the student attempted to share her location with a friend but was unable to do so. Ashraf is said to have returned her to the PG accommodation between 1:30 AM and 2:15 AM. The student promptly filed a complaint, seeking strict action against the accused.
