Police in Bengaluru have cracked a high-value theft case involving computer components, arresting a father-son duo accused of stealing goods worth ₹80 lakh. The accused reportedly carried out the theft while disguised in burqas to avoid identification but were later tracked down by investigators. Officials confirmed that all the stolen items have been successfully recovered.
The incident came to light after a shop owner from Nagawara approached the police with a complaint. He stated that he had locked his shop on the night of March 13, but upon reopening it around 11 am the next day, he discovered that the lock had been broken and several items were missing. The complaint triggered an immediate response from local law enforcement authorities.
According to police, the stolen items included 444 DDR4 RAM units and 279 solid-state drives (SSDs), along with ₹2.4 lakh in cash. The total value of the stolen property was estimated at around ₹80 lakh, making it a significant commercial theft. A case was subsequently registered at the Govindapura police station.

Their movements and activities were closely tracked during the investigation.
Following sustained efforts, the police identified the accused as a father-and-son duo and apprehended them. During interrogation, the suspects reportedly confessed to the crime, leading authorities to recover the stolen goods. Officials stated that the entire consignment of stolen items, including electronic components and cash, has been retrieved. The swift resolution of the case highlights the effectiveness of coordinated police work in tackling organised theft. Authorities have initiated legal proceedings against the accused, and further investigation is underway to determine if they were involved in similar incidents in the past.
