According to her family, the 12-year-old left home on Saturday afternoon intending to buy food items but never returned. They alleged that four individuals kidnapped her during this short outing. Police promptly registered a First Information Report (FIR) based on the complaint and launched an investigation into the abduction, sexual assault, and murder. The child’s body was discovered the following morning in a pond located close to her residence, prompting immediate forensic examination.
The postmortem report, as cited by news agency PTI quoting a senior police officer, detailed the extent of the brutality.
