A 28-year-old gym trainer was shot dead in south Delhi’s Fatehpur Beri area on Monday morning after two men allegedly opened fire at him before fleeing on a motorcycle, police said. The incident took place in Aya Nagar village at around 10 am, triggering panic among residents in the area. Police teams reached the spot soon after the shooting was reported.
The victim was identified as Vijay, who worked as a gym trainer. According to police, the two attackers arrived on a motorcycle and allegedly fired at him before escaping from the area. Around 15 rounds were reportedly fired during the incident, leading to heightened concern among people living and working in the vicinity.
Senior police officers rushed to the location following the firing, while investigators began examining the circumstances surrounding the attack. Police are currently working to establish the motive behind the shooting and identify the two men suspected of carrying it out. A preliminary line of investigation is focused on the possibility of a personal rivalry.
