Kia India has surpassed the milestone of one lakh paid renewals for its connected car platform, Kia Connect, marking a significant shift in customer willingness to pay for digital automotive features. The development highlights growing acceptance of subscription-based services in India’s evolving mobility ecosystem.
The company reported that more than 30 per cent of eligible users opted to continue with paid subscriptions after the initial three-year complimentary period. This retention rate reflects sustained engagement with the platform, which was originally launched in 2019 as UVO before being upgraded to its current version with enhanced capabilities.
Kia Connect currently offers over 100 features spanning navigation, remote vehicle control, safety, diagnostics, and convenience tools. These include over-the-air updates, voice-enabled commands, remote monitoring, and eco-driving analytics through its Drive Green feature, all accessible via a dedicated mobile application.

The strong renewal numbers are supported by the company’s growing connected car base, with over five lakh such vehicles sold in India. Globally, Kia has reported a 97 per cent enrolment rate for connected services, underlining the increasing importance of digital integration in modern vehicles.
To cater to different customer needs, Kia offers subscription plans across three tiers—Standalone, Basic, and Premium—with durations of one year and three years. Pricing starts at ₹1,890 for the base plan and goes up to ₹9,090 for the top-tier package, making the service accessible across a wide customer segment.
Commenting on the milestone, Atul Sood, Senior Vice-President of Sales and Marketing at Kia India, said the renewal figures reflect growing customer trust in the connected ecosystem. The trend indicates that features enhancing safety, convenience, and control are becoming essential components of car ownership, as the Indian automotive market steadily moves toward a more technology-driven future.
