Jaguar Land Rover, owned by Tata Motors, has temporarily halted production on select vehicle lines at its Solihull manufacturing plant due to a parts supply disruption. The pause affects key models, including the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport, and comes amid ongoing efforts to stabilise supply chain operations. The company has indicated that the halt is short-term and is being managed to minimise broader impact.
According to the automaker, the disruption is linked to a supplier-related issue that has affected the availability of critical components required for production. A company spokesperson confirmed that Jaguar Land Rover is working closely with the vendor to resolve the matter at the earliest and ensure continuity in operations. The temporary suspension is expected to last less than two weeks, aligning with a pre-planned Easter holiday shutdown period.
The Solihull facility is one of Jaguar Land Rover’s most important manufacturing hubs, responsible for producing some of its flagship luxury SUVs. The Range Rover and Range Rover Sport, which are among the company’s most popular offerings globally, are directly impacted by the production pause. Despite the interruption, the company has assured customers and stakeholders that efforts are underway to prevent any significant delays in deliveries.

The development highlights ongoing vulnerabilities in global automotive supply chains, particularly in the wake of disruptions experienced over the past few years. Jaguar Land Rover’s operations, which support around 200,000 jobs across the United Kingdom, rely heavily on a network of suppliers for timely component delivery. Even short-term interruptions can have cascading effects on manufacturing schedules and logistics.
This is not the first major disruption faced by the company in recent times. In 2025, Jaguar Land Rover was forced to shut down all its UK plants for nearly a month following a significant cyberattack, leading to production losses and additional operational costs. The latest issue, while comparatively smaller in scale, underscores the continued challenges faced by manufacturers in maintaining resilient supply chains.
Jaguar Land Rover has reiterated that the current production halt is temporary and is not expected to extend beyond the scheduled holiday period, which runs until early April 2026. The company remains focused on resolving the issue swiftly and resuming normal production levels, while continuing to monitor supplier performance and strengthen contingency measures to avoid similar disruptions in the future.
