Get ready to say “I do” without breaking the bank! Accor’s trendy ibis Styles brand is diving into India’s destination wedding market, targeting young, value-driven couples with its first-ever wedding-focused property in Goa, the ibis Styles Vagator, set to roll out services this wedding season.
Animesh Kumar, ibis & ibis Styles India Head of Commercials, told PTI that the 142-room Vagator property, nestled near Goa’s stunning beaches, is tailored for modern millennials seeking chic yet affordable weddings. “Luxury hotels dominate 70-75% of the destination wedding market, with budgets soaring from Rs 40 lakh to Rs 5 crore for 100-200 guests,” Kumar said. “But there’s a huge, underserved mid-scale segment craving stylish, smaller setups at better value.”
Unlike the business-focused ibis brand, ibis Styles brings vibrant design and leisure vibes, making it perfect for weddings. The Vagator property boasts a poolside, banquet hall, and amphitheatre, ideal for creating unforgettable moments. Kumar revealed that the hotel aims for full buyouts, accommodating around 200 guests for Rs 30-40 lakh, depending on customization—a steal compared to high-end venues.

After months of planning, ibis Styles is ready to launch, with bookings open for November and December. “We’ve fine-tuned our services, marketing, and partner network,” Kumar said. “This is a learning curve, and once we perfect it in Vagator, we’ll consider rolling it out to other properties.
