Diamond Power Infrastructure Ltd (DPIL), India’s premier single-location manufacturer of power cables and conductors, has secured a game-changing Rs 1,349.11 crore contract from Adani Energy Solutions Ltd (AESL), a leading player in India’s energy sector.
Announced on Monday through an exchange filing, the deal involves supplying 24,080 AL-59 high-performance conductors, critical components for enhancing the efficiency and reliability of power transmission networks. The order, set to be executed by June 2028, marks a significant milestone in DPIL’s growth trajectory and its deepening collaboration with the Adani Group.
The AL-59 conductors, known for their superior strength, conductivity, and lightweight properties, are designed to optimize power transmission over long distances, reducing energy losses and supporting India’s push for a robust and sustainable energy infrastructure. This contract aligns with the nation’s ambitious goals to modernize its power grid, catering to the rising demand for electricity in urban and rural areas alike. DPIL’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Vadodara, Gujarat, will play a pivotal role in fulfilling this order, leveraging its expertise in producing high-quality power transmission solutions.
