The Amarnath Yatra, one of India’s most revered pilgrimages, crossed a historic milestone on Thursday as over 4 lakh devotees paid obeisance at the holy cave shrine in south Kashmir. The sacred journey to the Amarnath cave, dedicated to Lord Shiva, has drawn pilgrims from across India and beyond, showcasing an extraordinary display of faith and devotion.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha celebrated the achievement, attributing it to divine blessings. “Baba Amarnath makes the impossible possible. With his blessings, the Holy Yatra today crossed the 4 lakh figure,” Sinha posted on X, expressing gratitude to all who ensured a seamless pilgrimage. He highlighted the yatra’s significance as a symbol of India’s unity and resilience, noting that the record-breaking turnout reflects the nation’s ability to overcome challenges.
Sinha described the pilgrimage as a transformative spiritual journey, offering devotees a chance to connect deeply with their faith. “This godly expedition is incomparable, not just for its arduous nature but for its ability to inspire pure bliss and self-discovery,” he said.
