Bollywood’s beloved superstar Shah Rukh Khan has always fascinated fans with his boundless energy and lean physique — and now, an old clip resurfacing online offers a rare glimpse into his simple but disciplined approach to food and fitness.
Speaking in an interview with RJ Devanggana about eight years ago, SRK revealed that he doesn’t follow any fancy diet plan. Instead, he naturally gravitates towards minimal, clean meals. "I stick to two main meals — lunch and dinner — with no snacking in between," he shared. His plate typically includes sprouts, grilled chicken, broccoli, and sometimes a little dal. Lavish spreads? Not his thing. "Mujhe pakwan pasand nahi (I’m not fond of elaborate dishes)," he admitted.
However, Shah Rukh’s flexibility shines when he's traveling or visiting friends. "If I’m at someone’s home, I eat whatever is served — biryani, parathas, food cooked in ghee, or a glass of lassi," he said, emphasizing that he doesn't believe in restricting himself when sharing a meal with others.

Equally striking is his sleep and workout routine. Shah Rukh famously sleeps just five hours a night, often heading to bed around 5 AM and waking by 9 or 10 AM, especially during shoots. Late-night workouts at his personal gym are a regular part of his routine.
In a more recent interview, SRK also shared that it was during the COVID-19 lockdown that he truly committed to fitness. "At 55, I decided to take a break, pick up new skills, and build a body I’m proud of," he said.
Fans can look forward to seeing the results when Shah Rukh Khan makes his much-anticipated Met Gala debut on May 5, 2025, alongside designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee.
