A social media post by an Indian traveller has sparked widespread discussion after she highlighted what she described as India's rapidly improving infrastructure in comparison with developed nations. The viral post, shared on Instagram by digital creator Ankita, featured a side-by-side comparison of highways in India and Spain, drawing attention to what she believes is a narrowing gap between the two countries in terms of road quality and overall driving experience.

The video, titled “Not a competition. Just appreciation,” showcased smooth highways, clearly marked lanes and landscaped road medians from both countries. Through the comparison, Ankita reflected on how travelling abroad once underscored India's infrastructural shortcomings, but her recent experience led her to a different conclusion. She suggested that India's road network has improved significantly over the years and now compares more favourably with infrastructure seen in many developed nations.

In her post, Ankita explained that previous international trips often highlighted the differences between infrastructure overseas and at home. However, during her latest visit to Europe, she found herself recognising the progress India has made. She noted that while roads, landscaping, signage, maintenance and driving conditions abroad remain impressive, the gap that once seemed substantial has reduced considerably in recent years.

According to her, the progress reflects years of sustained development and investment.
