Bigg Boss Bangla is officially making a comeback after nearly a decade, with former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly taking on hosting duties for the show's third season. The much-anticipated return was confirmed after Star Jalsha released the first official promo on its social media platforms, introducing Ganguly as the face of the upcoming season.

The teaser begins with the image of a tiger before revealing a sharply dressed Ganguly stepping into the spotlight. The channel welcomed the cricket legend, popularly known as the “Prince of Kolkata,” as the new host of the reality show. Produced by Endemol Shine India, a part of Banijay Asia, the Bengali version of the popular Bigg Boss franchise is returning after being off-air for around ten years.

Earlier this year, reports had suggested that Bigg Boss Bangla would return in 2026. The speculation gained further momentum when media reports claimed that Ganguly had signed a deal worth Rs 125 crore with Star Jalsha to host the reality series. While the broadcaster has not officially commented on the reported figure, the release of the promo has confirmed Ganguly's association with the project.
