Tamil music composer-actor GV Prakash Kumar and singer Saindhavi have officially filed for mutual divorce at the Chennai Family Welfare Court. The couple, who announced their separation in 2024, submitted their petition on March 24, 2025, bringing an end to their 12-year marriage.
Prakash and Saindhavi appeared in person before Judge Selva Sundari, confirming that their decision was voluntary. After the hearing, the case was adjourned to a later date. Despite their split, the two were seen leaving the court together in the same car.
Longtime childhood friends, Prakash and Saindhavi tied the knot in 2013 and welcomed their daughter, Anvi, in 2020. Over the past year, speculation about their separation grew, but they maintained that their decision was mutual and amicable. They also requested privacy and dismissed any external influence behind their split.
Despite parting ways, the two have remained professional and have even collaborated on concerts after their separation.
