Ajay Devgn’s latest release, De De Pyaar De 2, has kicked off its theatrical run with an estimated Rs 8.50 crore net collection on its opening day in India, according to early data from Sacnilk. The much-awaited romantic comedy sequel, directed by Anshul Sharma, arrived in cinemas on Friday, November 14, 2025, with a decent turnout boosted by strong advance bookings and family-oriented appeal.
Before release, the film managed to sell approximately 91,111 tickets across nearly 12,947 shows, earning about Rs 2.79 crore in advance sales. It registered an overall occupancy of around 14.05% across Hindi screenings, with evening and night shows performing notably better than morning slots. Occupancy climbed from 7.46% in the morning to 25.26% during the later shows, reflecting gradual audience traction throughout the day.
While the opening figure fell short of the expected Rs 10 crore mark, it still fared better than Ajay Devgn’s previous release, Son of Sardaar 2, which had earned Rs 7.25 crore on its first day. The performance suggests a moderate yet promising start, particularly given the relatively quiet release window and limited competition at the box office.

Trade experts note that the film’s business could gain momentum over the weekend, driven by family audiences and word-of-mouth. If De De Pyaar De 2 mirrors the trend of its predecessor — which earned over Rs 104 crore domestically — it could see significant improvement in collections on Saturday and Sunday.
Produced by T-Series and Luv Films, the sequel stars Ajay Devgn alongside Rakul Preet Singh, R. Madhavan, and others. With a runtime of 2 hours and 27 minutes and a U/A certification from the CBFC, the film blends humor, relationships, and emotions in a familiar yet updated tone for modern audiences. All eyes are now on whether this second installment can recreate the magic of the 2019 hit in the coming days.
