In a fiery episode of Bigg Boss 19’s Weekend Ka Vaar, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan addressed and dismissed accusations from Sikandar director AR Murugadoss, who claimed the actor arrived late to the film’s set. Khan, in a blend of sharp rebuttal and humor, also took a swipe at Murugadoss’s recent South Indian release, Madharaasi, while subtly criticizing producer Sajid Nadiadwala for the handling of Sikandar.
During the episode, comedian Ravi Gupta asked Khan to name a recent film he regretted doing. Instead of directly naming Sikandar, Khan responded with sarcasm: “I used to arrive on set by 9 PM, and that created issues. This is what our director, AR Murugadoss, said, but my ribs were broken. Meanwhile, his recent film, Madharaasi, had an actor who arrived at 6.” The comment was a pointed jab at Murugadoss, implying that the director’s own project faced similar issues but failed to gain traction.
Khan didn’t hold back on Sikandar’s underwhelming box office performance either, taking a dig at both Murugadoss and Nadiadwala. “Initially, the film belonged to Murugadoss and Sajid Nadiadwala, but later Sajid escaped. Then, Murugadoss left and made a film in the South,” Khan remarked. He went on to mock Madharaasi’s failure, saying, “He directed Madharaasi, a very big film and an even bigger blockbuster than Sikandar,” with a knowing smile that underscored the sarcasm.

Sikandar, released on Eid 2025, marked the first collaboration between Salman Khan and AR Murugadoss, known for directing Ghajini. Despite a star-studded cast including Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Sharman Joshi, Sathyaraj, Jatin Sarna, Sanjay Kapoor, Prateik Babbar, and Kishore, the film failed to resonate with audiences and did not achieve blockbuster status. Khan’s remarks on Bigg Boss 19 reflect his frustration with the project’s outcome and the public narrative surrounding his professionalism.
The episode also saw Khan addressing allegations from Dabangg director Abhinav Kashyap with equal intensity, though he reserved a lighter, more sarcastic tone for Murugadoss. The exchange has sparked buzz among fans and industry observers, highlighting tensions behind the scenes of Sikandar and drawing attention to Murugadoss’s Madharaasi as a comparative failure.
