The teaser sets the stage for a larger rollout surrounding their fifth studio album, “ARIRANG,” which is scheduled for a global release on March 20, 2026. This album represents the first full-length project from the group in several years, following a period of individual projects and a hiatus.
Ahead of the release, BTS unveiled the full tracklist for ARIRANG, which features 14 songs including “Body to Body,” “Hooligan,” “Aliens,” “FYA,” “2.0,” “No. 29,” “SWIM,” “Merry Go Round,” “NORMAL,” “Like Animals,” “They Don’t Know 'Bout Us,” “One More Night,” “Please,” and “Into the Sun.” Among these, “SWIM” has been confirmed as the lead single, with BTS leader RM playing a major role in writing the track. The album’s title also carries cultural significance. Arirang is a traditional Korean folk song symbolizing the country’s heritage and emotional identity. By naming their album after this iconic song, BTS bridges Korea’s cultural roots with their modern global pop sensibilities, highlighting a blend of tradition and contemporary music that has long defined the group’s artistic approach.
The comeback celebrations will culminate in a special live performance, “BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE | ARIRANG,” set to take place at Seoul’s historic Gwanghwamun Square. The event will stream globally on Netflix on March 21, allowing fans worldwide to witness the group performing together on stage once again. Adding to the excitement, a documentary titled “BTS: The Return” is scheduled to premiere on March 27, offering fans a behind-the-scenes look at the making of ARIRANG and the emotional journey of the members returning to the stage.
As the trailer release approaches and the album launch nears, anticipation continues to build among the ARMY fandom. BTS’s upcoming comeback is poised to be one of the most significant events in global pop music this year, reinforcing the group’s enduring influence and international appeal.
