Ranveer Singh's espionage action thriller Dhurandhar, helmed by Aditya Dhar, has maintained its extraordinary momentum into the fifth week, registering Rs 5.40 crore on its 32nd day despite entering the post-holiday weekday phase. This marks the film's first single-digit daily earning after an unprecedented streak of double-digit collections for 30 out of the preceding 31 days, underscoring its resilient audience appeal.
According to data from Jio Studios, the domestic net collection now stands at Rs 825.70 crore, with weekly breakdowns revealing Rs 218 crore in the opening week, a remarkable Rs 261.5 crore in the second, Rs 189.3 crore in the third, and Rs 115.70 crore in the fourth. The film's worldwide gross has surged past Rs 1,200 crore, positioning it among the highest-grossing Hindi films ever and cementing its status as a blockbuster phenomenon.
In direct comparison, the newly released war drama Ikkis, featuring Dharmendra in his final screen appearance alongside Agastya Nanda and originally slated for December 25 before moving to January 1, managed only Rs 1.13 crore on its first Monday. This stark contrast highlights Dhurandhar's commanding screen presence and superior hold, even as multiple competitors vie for audience attention.

Renowned trade analyst Taran Adarsh observed that Dhurandhar is closing in on the lifetime Hindi business of major hits like Pushpa 2, noting that the conclusion of the extended festive period from Christmas to New Year naturally leads to moderated weekday figures as normal routines resume across the country. Adarsh also anticipated heightened competition with the upcoming release of Prabhas-led 'The RajaSaab' on January 9, 2026, suggesting that the ensuing weekend will provide a critical test of Dhurandhar's enduring strength against fresh high-profile opposition in the multiplexes.
Inspired by real events yet featuring a fictional central character portrayed by Ranveer Singh—an Indian operative infiltrating Pakistan's terror networks amid intricate socio-political undercurrents—the film reunites Dhar with the nationalistic intensity of his debut Uri: The Surgical Strike. Supported by a strong ensemble including Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, and R. Madhavan, Dhurandhar has resonated deeply with viewers through its gripping narrative and thematic depth.
