Shraddha Kapoor-starrer Eetha has been postponed from its scheduled August 28 theatrical release to December 4, clearing a potential clash with Anupam Kher's Khosla Ka Ghosla 2. The film, which also stars Randeep Hooda and Zeeshan Ayyub, was earlier set to release alongside several other major Bollywood titles.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the new release date on Tuesday, announcing that Eetha will now arrive in cinemas on December 4. The postponement comes after the film was originally lined up for August 28, a date that had also seen Khosla Ka Ghosla 2 and Sidharth Malhotra's Vvan scheduled for theatrical releases.
The change gives Eetha a wider release window while also easing the pressure created by multiple films competing for screens on the same weekend. Vvan had already moved its release date to September 25, while Eetha's shift now leaves Khosla Ka Ghosla 2 with less direct competition from the Shraddha-led project.

Eetha features Shraddha in the role of legendary Lavani artist Vithabai Bhau Mang Narayangaonkar. The film's teaser was unveiled in June and drew attention for its musical elements and Shraddha's intense portrayal of the celebrated performer. Randeep Hooda and Zeeshan Ayyub are also part of the cast in supporting roles.
Several Bollywood release clashes remain on the calendar. Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan's Haiwaan is scheduled to release alongside Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan's Udta Teer on September 11. Meanwhile, Emraan Hashmi's Awarapan 2 and Sunny Deol's Batwaara 1947 are set for a theatrical clash this week. Eetha's new December 4 date could give the film a more focused theatrical run after its promotional campaign. The release reshuffle also reflects the increasingly competitive Bollywood calendar, where production schedules, screen availability and box-office positioning continue to influence release strategies.
