Dhurandhar, the high-octane spy thriller led by Ranveer Singh, has solidified its position as a monumental box office success by officially becoming the highest-grossing Indian film released in 2025, decisively surpassing the lifetime worldwide collections of major competitors such as Kantara Chapter 1 and Chhaava through consistent performance and widespread audience appeal.
On its eighteenth day of release, the film encountered its first notable decline in domestic earnings, registering a net collection of ₹16 crore in India, marking the inaugural sub-20-crore day and representing a sharp drop of nearly 60% from previous figures, primarily attributed to intensified competition from the global blockbuster Avatar: Fire and Ash occupying premium screens nationwide.
Despite the weekday slowdown, Dhurandhar's cumulative domestic net collection has reached an extraordinary ₹571.75 crore, translating to ₹686 crore in gross terms within India, while its robust international performance has generated over $20.5 million in overseas markets, propelling the total worldwide gross to a staggering ₹872 crore and demonstrating remarkable staying power.

Having already eclipsed the lifetime worldwide hauls of prominent 2025 releases including Stree 2 at ₹857 crore and Kantara Chapter 1 at ₹852 crore on the preceding days, the film is now poised to challenge established benchmarks, with projections indicating it could surpass the ₹915 crore marks set by Animal and Secret Superstar within the next couple of days to secure a spot among the top 10 highest-grossing Indian films ever.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar captivates audiences with Ranveer Singh in the intense role of Hamza, a skilled Indian operative undertaking a perilous mission to infiltrate terrorist networks in Karachi, supported by a stellar ensemble cast featuring Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, and R Madhavan in crucial supporting roles, with anticipation already building for the sequel scheduled for release in March 2026.
