In an industry where looking younger often means opting for cosmetic procedures, Bollywood actor Kareena Kapoor Khan takes a different route. At the launch of celebrity nutritionist Rutuja Diwekar’s book, ‘The Commonsense Diet’, in Mumbai on Wednesday, the actor shared her approach to ageing gracefully without relying on botox.
Kareena, known for her radiant skin and fitness, emphasised the importance of health over cosmetic enhancements. “For me, ageing and life are about eating right with guidance from Rutuja,” she said. “I love it, I’m embracing it. I focus on eating ghee, having khichdi, doing a little weight training for muscle strength, walking, and practicing Surya Namaskars. It’s about doing my little work on my own rather than opting for skin treatments and botox.”
Reflecting on her relationship with food, Kareena shared that comfort and contentment have always guided her choices. “In my early years when I was chubby, I never starved myself. I was comfortable in my own skin, even as a teenager who loved chips. In the last 10–15 years, I’ve returned to the same foods because they make me happy,” she explained.
Kareena, who is a mother to Taimur and Jeh with Saif Ali Khan, also stressed the importance of self-belief. “Every woman should live her life because self-belief is everything,” she remarked.
On the professional front, Kareena had a busy 2024 with projects like ‘Crew’, ‘The Buckingham Murders’, and ‘Singham Again’. She is currently working on a film with Meghna Gulzar, director of ‘Raazi’.
Kareena Kapoor Khan’s candid approach to ageing reflects her commitment to health, self-love, and authenticity, both on and off the screen.
