Mumbai Police have reportedly begun verifying an alleged death threat issued against Bollywood actor Aamir Khan, with the message said to be linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The purported threat surfaced through a social media post and an accompanying voice note, both of which are now under scrutiny by the authorities. According to reports, the alleged threat was shared by individuals identified as Arzu Bishnoi and Tyson Bishnoi, who are claimed to be associates of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.
The social media post accused Aamir Khan of promoting "love jihad" in connection with his personal life and carried a warning directed at the actor. However, the authenticity of the message and the identities of those behind it have not been independently verified. The post also referred to the alleged kidnapping, trafficking, and sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl in Rajasthan’s Sri Ganganagar district last month. While praising the administration for its action in the case, it warned political leaders who were allegedly attempting to protect some of the accused.
Authorities are examining whether the message has any direct connection to the alleged threat against the actor. Police officials have reportedly initiated a verification process to determine the origin and credibility of the social media post and the accompanying voice note. As of now, no official confirmation has been issued regarding the source of the alleged threat or whether it poses a credible security concern. Reports also suggest that Aamir Khan or his representatives have not yet lodged a formal complaint with Mumbai Police.

Despite the absence of an official complaint, law enforcement agencies are said to be examining the matter because of the seriousness of the alleged threat. The incident comes amid heightened security concerns involving several members of the Hindi film industry in recent years. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has frequently been mentioned in investigations involving alleged threats to celebrities, prompting authorities to closely monitor such claims and assess potential risks.
Mumbai Police are expected to continue their inquiry by analysing digital evidence and verifying the authenticity of the social media content. Officials have not disclosed whether any additional security measures have been extended to the actor while the verification process is underway. Authorities have urged the public to avoid drawing conclusions until the investigation establishes the facts surrounding the alleged threat. Further action is likely to depend on the findings of the ongoing verification and any subsequent complaint or evidence that emerges.
