Hanuman Ansh continued its strong theatrical run in its eighth week, crossing the Rs 400 crore mark worldwide after recording another healthy collection on Sunday. The spiritual drama earned Rs 9 crore nett in India on Day 52 across 4,387 shows, taking its India nett collection to Rs 307.03 crore. Its continued performance comes despite increased competition from newer releases that have entered theatres in recent days.
The film's India gross collection has now reached Rs 362.70 crore, while its overseas earnings have added Rs 38.50 crore to its worldwide total. The film collected Rs 75 lakh from international markets on Sunday alone, taking its worldwide gross to Rs 401.20 crore. The latest figures mark another milestone for a film that has remained in theatres for more than seven weeks and continued to attract audiences well into its extended run.
Hanuman Ansh had collected Rs 6.50 crore nett on Day 51, when its India gross stood at Rs 352.10 crore and worldwide gross was reported at Rs 389.85 crore. The film then recorded a notable increase on Sunday, pushing its global earnings beyond the Rs 400 crore mark. Its overall theatre occupancy on Day 51 was reported at 44.04 per cent, with night shows registering the strongest response at 59.62 per cent.
The film has maintained its momentum even as new releases have increased competition at the box office. Nani's The Paradise, which released on September 24, collected Rs 15.70 crore nett on its fourth day and had reached a worldwide gross of Rs 138.25 crore. Meanwhile, Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia's The Vvaan - Force of the Forest collected Rs 14 crore nett on its third day, taking its worldwide gross to Rs 43.15 crore. Despite the competition, Hanuman Ansh has continued to retain audiences during its eighth week.
Hanuman Ansh is written and directed by Vishal Chaturvedi and is based on his book Divine Detour: That Changed My Life. The film is set in pre-Independence India and follows Lakshmi Narayan, a young man who leaves home following his mother's death and begins a spiritual journey across northern India. His travels eventually lead him towards becoming Neem Karoli Baba, forming the central narrative of the film.
Shobhinaw Satyaa plays Lakshmi Narayan Sharma, with Chandan K Anand, Nikhil Dubey, Anil Rastogi and Sugandha Malhotra among the other members of the cast. With its worldwide collection now at Rs 401.20 crore, Hanuman Ansh has achieved the latest milestone in a theatrical run that has extended into its eighth week. Its performance in the coming days will determine how strongly it continues to hold audiences as newer films compete for screens and footfalls.
