Songs from Pakistani actor Fawad Khan’s upcoming Bollywood film ‘Abir Gulaal’ have been removed from YouTube India, following confirmation that the film will not release in Indian theatres. The move comes in the wake of the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, which claimed the lives of 26 Indian tourists.
Two tracks — the romantic “Khudaya Ishq” and the upbeat “Angreji Rangrasiya” — had been released by the film’s production house, A Richer Lens Entertainment. However, both songs have now disappeared from the company’s official YouTube channel. Music label Saregama, which holds the official rights to the film’s soundtrack, has also removed the songs from its platform.
The takedown appears to follow mounting criticism on social media, with several users expressing outrage over the Indo-Pak artistic collaboration amid heightened tensions after the attack. Although a third song titled “Tain Tain” was scheduled for release on Wednesday, it has not been made public, raising speculation that the film’s music rollout has been paused indefinitely.

Neither the filmmakers nor the actors have issued any statements regarding the removal of the songs.
Earlier, Fawad Khan condemned the attack via social media, stating, “Deeply saddened to hear the news of the heinous attack in Pahalgam. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims of this horrifying incident, and we pray for strength and healing for their families in this difficult time.”
Tuesday’s attack — one of the deadliest in recent times — involved terrorists opening fire on a group of tourists in Pahalgam, leaving at least 26 dead and several injured. The incident has reignited debates over cross-border collaborations in India’s entertainment industry during times of conflict.
